PTPN Secures Significant Reimbursement Improvements for Private Therapy Practices Nationwide
PTPN Helps Members Strengthen Financial Performance Through Strategic Contracting Efforts
PTPN, the nation’s leading network of private rehabilitation therapy practices, announced today that it has successfully secured multiple reimbursement increases for member practices across the country over the past year, helping providers strengthen their financial sustainability while continuing to deliver high-quality patient care.
The reimbursement improvements were achieved through negotiations and network contracting efforts with a variety of national healthcare organizations and specialty benefit administrators. The increases, which became effective between August 2025 and July 2026, include rate enhancements ranging from 13% to more than 100% for participating providers.
Several agreements resulted in reimbursement increases of 20% to 39%, while other contracts achieved substantially higher rates, including payment schedules exceeding 145% of Medicare for numerous therapy codes and increases of up to 137% in certain arrangements.
Importantly, these enhanced reimbursement opportunities are available to eligible providers through participation in the PTPN network. Private therapy practices that become PTPN members gain access to contracted rates and payer relationships that can help improve financial performance and support long-term growth. “Reimbursement pressure continues to be one of the greatest challenges facing private therapy practices,” said PTPN CEO Stevyn Voyles. “Our contracting and payer relations efforts are focused on creating meaningful financial opportunities for our network members, allowing them to reinvest in their teams, expand access to care, and remain competitive in an increasingly complex healthcare environment.”
These reimbursement improvements reflect PTPN’s ongoing commitment to advocating for private rehabilitation providers and ensuring that member practices receive fair compensation for the care they deliver. Through strategic relationships, and continuous negotiations, PTPN works to help member clinics navigate reimbursement challenges and improve practice performance.
PTPN indicated that additional reimbursement initiatives are currently in progress and that more updates are expected in the coming months.
